How long does a sale take from first contact to payment?
Most sales run over a few weeks. The first week or so is the visit, the proposal and cataloguing. The auction is then open for bidding for one to two weeks, followed by a collection window of a few days. We reconcile the sale once collection has closed and pay you against a lot by lot statement. A single machine going into a shared sale can be quicker. A whole site with a fixed handover date is planned backwards from that date.
