Warehouse and logistics equipment sales in Coventry
In Coventry, warehousing and the vehicle plants are the same industry. Sequencing centres and parts stores feed the assembly lines from sheds at Ryton and Middlemarch, and smaller suppliers around Binley and Bayton Road hold their own stock in racking, stillages, roll cages and pallet boxes. When a model changes or a supply contract moves, the handling equipment that supported it is surplus on a fixed date.
We sell it by online timed auction. Forklifts, reach trucks, tow tractors and pallet trucks go with hours and examination reports. Racking goes by run, with heights and beam ratings listed. Stillages and dunnage go in bulk lots. Whether the site takes an articulated lorry or a low loader is checked on our first visit, along with turning space, door dimensions and the yard. That decides whether the sale runs from your site with a viewing day, or the lots are collected and sold from our premises. The sale is online and open to bidders well beyond the area, and the trade in Nuneaton and Rugby is close at hand. Use the contact form to tell us what the site holds.
Sequencing centres and tow tractor fleets
A sequencing centre is a warehouse that works to the minute, and its equipment reflects that. Tow tractors and trailers, powered pallet trucks, flow racking and roll cages by the hundred, all bought for one contract. When that contract ends, the operator is left with a fleet of electric trucks and chargers that has no other use on the site.
What they make turns on hours, battery condition and whether the type is still in use, and the operators who win the next sequencing contract in the Midlands use the same equipment. We list each truck with hours and the latest report of thorough examination, and we note the battery condition where we can see it. Chargers are sold as matched lots. Flow racking is sold by lane with the roller and beam details. The trade in Solihull and Birmingham is able to get to a viewing day without a long trip, and dealers bid online for the fleet items. Whether to offer the trucks as a fleet or singly is worth settling early, and we give you a view on likely interest before you commit.
Small supplier units and the stillage count
The smaller suppliers around Binley and Exhall keep stores rather than warehouses. A few bays of pallet racking, longspan shelving for kitted parts, a counterbalance truck, a pallet scale and a great many stillages and pallet boxes. When a supplier loses a programme, or the business closes, all of that has to go, often quickly, and the unit may have no yard for a collection day.
We count and photograph the stillages by type. The racking is listed by bay and the truck sells on its records. Where the site suits it, buyers collect by appointment. Where it does not, collection to our premises can be arranged and buyers collect from there. Either way, one person deals with you from the first call to settlement. Battery and electric vehicle firms have taken units on the same estates, and they use the racking, shelving and handling equipment that supplier stores give up.

How the sale runs
After a site visit we agree what is in the sale and what stays. We catalogue and photograph each lot, list the sale online and market it to warehouse operators, dealers and contractors. Bidders view on a set day, then bid online over the sale period, with lots closing in sequence.
Lots are offered as seen under the auction terms, with buyers expected to inspect before bidding. The buyer pays the hammer price plus a buyer's premium, with VAT charged where it applies and shown separately. We collect payment before release.
Collection runs over a window agreed with you. Buyers arrange and pay for the removal of their lots, with suitable handling equipment or specialist contractors where the item needs them. Our staff attend to release lots against paid invoices and see that dismantling is done safely.
The warehouse and logistics equipment sales page covers racking and how it comes down, forklifts and the records that matter, the small equipment adds up, timing a sale around a site handover.
Questions about selling in Coventry
- Our contract ends at model changeover in the summer. When should we instruct you?
As soon as the end date is confirmed. Model changeover is a known date, so we can plan a sale that closes a week or two before it and collections that run into the final days. The catalogue can be prepared while the site is still working, with viewing on a day when the line is quiet. Starting early also gives time to obtain lender consent on any trucks that are on finance, which is common with fleets bought for a contract.
- The racking at our Ryton shed belongs to us but the dock levellers came with the building. What can we sell?
Only what is yours. We check the lease and any fit out schedule at the site visit, because landlords in the larger distribution parks often own the docks, the levellers and sometimes the sprinkler and lighting. Racking, trucks, chargers, conveyors and loose equipment that you bought are yours to sell. If there is doubt about an item, we leave it out rather than sell something the landlord later claims. That check is quick and it avoids a dispute later.
