Industrial London is in the outer boroughs. Park Royal, between the A40 and the North Circular, is the largest industrial area in the capital and holds food producers, printers, vehicle workshops and distribution units. Brimsdown in Enfield has warehousing and heavier industry along the Lea Valley. Dagenham Dock and Barking, off the A13, hold vehicle plants, recycling firms and logistics yards. Purley Way in Croydon is the main industrial strip in the south. Hayes, Wembley, Charlton and Erith have further estates.

The M25 circles the city and connects to the M1, M4, M11, M20, A1(M) and M40. The A406 North Circular and the A13, A40 and A2 carry traffic in from the ring. Rail freight terminals at Willesden and Barking handle container traffic. Ports at Tilbury and London Gateway are close to the east. Large vehicles must plan around the Low Emission Zone and the Direct Vision Standard rules.
